Since 1984 Maggie and Freeman Jones have been producing a functional and decorative line of stoneware pottery for kitchen and dining use. Since the turn of the new century they have been producing decorative ceramics still based on function. From butter trays and mugs to mirror frames or umbrella stands, sculptural, one of a kind and made to enjoy.
"Our work is a contemporary expression of antique forms. Pottery from the Arts and Crafts movement and Art Nouveau encompass organic motifs and forms that are eternally pleasing. With these shapes and details, intention is propelled by the "golden proportions" and the Fibonacci sequences in nature. Compound curves, the delicate balance and visual pleasure of symmetry and asymmetry are a constant challenge. With focus and creativity, our wheel thrown forms become elegant, sculpted objects. We create bold color combinations, joyful curves and whimsical adornments to amuse and please the eye."
